WELCOME!

Allegra Durante is a lyric coloratura soprano who frequently performs with opera and theater companies in her hometown of New York City.

Her favorite roles have included Oscar in Un Ballo in Maschera, Echo in Gluck's Echo et Narcisse, Morgana in Händel’s Alcina, Olympia in Offenbach’s Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Cherubino in Le Nozze di Figaro, Giulietta in I Capuleti ei Montecchi, Papagena in Die Zauberflöte, and Josephine in H.M.S. Pinafore.

Allegra's training as a singer, actress, and dancer has included programs in New York City, Germany, and Italy, plus invaluable experience working with opera companies in and around New York City. Her desire to understand the detailed and varied work that goes into making a production happen has led her to freelance as a costumer, movement coach, director, and producer.

In addition to opera and theater, Allegra works as a facilitator for immersive theater experiences and as a background actor in movies and on TV as a member of SAG-AFTRA.
